Talking about the Bassin d’Arcachon without mentioning the many beaches is impossible!

We must keep in mind the unique aspect of the beaches on the Basin: the Baïnes. In case of high tide, strong currents, fine sands and low level, the currents of variable and contrary intensity meet and can drag a person being trapped inside several hundred meters from the side. In this case, there is only one thing to do: do not struggle and let yourself be carried by the current. Once the latter has subsided, swim quietly towards the beach, and signal to the supervisors if they are present.

Located opposite the Banc d’Arguin, towards Arcachon, or go up towards Petit Nice beach, towards Biscarrosse.
