We must keep in mind the unique aspect of the beaches on the Basin: the Baïnes. In case of high tide, strong currents, fine sands and low level, the currents of variable and contrary intensity meet and can drag a person being trapped inside several hundred meters from the side. In this case, there is only one thing to do: do not struggle and let yourself be carried by the current. Once the latter has subsided, swim quietly towards the beach, and signal to the supervisors if they are present.
